I joined Tehatta Govt. College as the first Officer-in-Charge in 2015. The Govt. initiative to start a Govt. College at Tehatta is very praiseworthy. The college started its first session in 2015 with five Hons subjects and General Course. I seek everyone’s support in the smooth functioning of the college. The college is in its initial phase and I am trying my level best with the help of teachers, non-teaching staff, students and local people to make this college a centre for excellence. I think that this college in a remote area will help local students to pursue higher education.
Tehatta Government College is nestled on the pleasant banks of the Jalangi river in the district of Nadia, West Bengal, India. The college, still under construction, besides the Kulgachi Road is a seat of heavenly beauty partly due to the majestic river and partly due to the fertile lands that surround it and a tranquil centre for the pursuit of knowledge.
